In the natural magic calendar, the spring festival is aligned with the spring equinox, around March 21st, called Imbolc. It is the day in spring when the nights and days are the exact same length. The original "Easter" festival was related to Oestara, the goddess of dawn, Eos in Greek and the much older Babylonian Ishtar, the goddess of sex, war and fertility. The Christians liked to assimilate the existing festivals and now we have Easter, but the traditional magic of giving each other eggs is bigger today than ever; and of course, we all know what bunnies are particularly well known for! Here are some ideas for energy magic spells for Easter, including the rather fabulous Easter Bunch or Osterstrauch tradition which is excellent for families and a great magic exercise for kids.
Magic 4 Kids
Magic Hands - Happy Hands, Hands of Power - is an example of a practical spell to empower us. The more advanced in magic you are, the more you can do with this; but it's a great piece of energy magic for kids as well.
This is the Art Spell - artless magic is heartless magic, is no magic at all.
With love to all creative souls who walk the Earth and those who don't, make your presence felt, bring you wonder and your joy.

Kids and children love this spell too and it is a right antidote to thinking of money as being this horrible dour black nasty thing you still can't get enough of!
Note: This is from 2004 but it's really helpful, works like a charm so I brought it back.
In the last week I got five separate requests for how to make a magic wand. I thought that was weird, seeing I had written an extensive article about it. I remembered making a wand as an example and taking the photographs. I looked for it but couldn't find it online. But I did find the magic wand article eventually. I'd done it but not uploaded it.
OK ... so here's the article I wrote seven years ago ... how to make and use your own real magic wand. Enjoy.

A really interesting and important part of magic revolves around magic guardians for protection of the home. A first choice for as long as humanity has been around is to use statues of animals to be magic guardians.
Of course, not every animal statue is magic, and not every magic statue is a magic guardian. Here's a report on a psychometry experience and some ideas of how to find and strengthen magic guardians of your own.
The rainbow angels are wonderfully pure messengers who bring information and energy from their angelic dimensions.
Let the universe choose a rainbow angel for you today!
Magic isn't so much about rituals or herbs, or even spirits and deities, than it is about using your will to alter the fabric of reality.
One way how this is done, and perhaps the most important of them all, is to learn to use your intention to change an inanimate object into a "magical" object - this is like adding an invisible yet perfectly real layer to the object that creates ripples of change behind the scenes.
A perfect exercise for children of all ages is to make a loving charm bracelet for someone they hold dear and whom they wish well.
Fairy magic? Isn't that just for homosexuals and weak willed new age mommas? Well ... yes and no.
Certainly, the "fluffy bunny" school of esotericism and magic tends to congregate round the cute little pixies and fairies, and yes, they do go off with the fairies into Disney land. That's true. But it is also true that magic is LIGHT and joyful in essence; and that most people who take magic seriously, take it way TOO seriously - and make it dour, miserable and unhappy as a result.
The truth is that the more serious you are about magic, the more you need to watch this tendency to get bogged down in furious concentration, knitted brows and hard work.
The sparkle of a bit of Fairy Magic can be a breath of fresh air, lift your magic right up and brighten you and your day. That can only be for the best! So here is a story to start this topic off and I look forward to adding to this section to remind us all that magic is LIGHT - it sings, and dances, and yet it is still the most powerful force in the universe, indeed.
The other day, I wanted to do something that involved using a poppet but I was fresh out of corn husks, linen wraps and wax. So I decided to use the materials at hand to make my poppet.
"What's a poppet?!" I hear everyone ask. "It's like a voodoo doll ..." -
"Oh! A voodoo doll! Why didn't you say so in the first place!"
Please don't think of voodoo dolls in the stereotypical way of sticking pins into people, or "Witches of Eastwick". They do a whole lot more than just impersonate another across distances. But this article isn't about how to use poppets, but how to make them - with modern materials and ready to personalise for energy magic.
Good fun and also suitable for children and beginners.
This is a very basic but extraordinary magic endeavour and you don't have to be a kid, or have had any children at all in order to appreciate it.

The Wish Bird (a spell to make a wish come true) is a magic spell that combines art and magic - one of the oldest forms of spell and reality creation known to mankind.
This is a very nice art magic spell that is easy enough for kids and absolute beginners, and deep enough for the most advanced practitioner of energy magic to learn something new and expand their range and power.
Here is a very simple basic recipe for a love spell talisman that you can have incredible fun with on many different levels.
It's a very powerful and very real process and spell format that is great for beginners, for kids, and no matter how advanced you already are, you can add your own levels and layers to this and get so much out of it, it is amazing.
Simple, everyday ingredients and a real multi-level exercise in real magic, at that - one of my all time favourites!

Enjoy and make as many wishes as you want to - the coin will never run out, it is endlessly renewing!
Spell Keywords: Boredom, feeling fluffy, disjointed thinking, no energy, feeling bored, frustrated and listless.
I *love* spells! They're just the best. So there I was, lying on the couch last night, thinking, "My God, I'm so ... INCREDIBLY BORED!" when it occurred to me to ask for a counter spell to boredom to come to mind.
This is what happened and it worked a treat. Try mine, try your own next time you have a moment of, "Oh I just don't know what to DO WITH MYSELF!"
