Shelley, the main thing that strikes me here is the "turning back of the clock" which the affair with the old flame represents.
You used the word yourself.
And funnily enough, if you put your mind to it - and your heart, especially! - you can turn back the clock.
To a time when your husband had eyes for you alone and you were in love with each other.
To a time when you both FELT YOUNG TOGETHER.
That's the key, and it doesn't matter if you LOOK old, or if he does, its about how you FEEL when you are together.
This is a very old witchcraft method.
You need to get a real clock from somewhere, like an alarm clock but at a pinch, a pocket watch or a watch will do.
You set it to ten minutes before midnight. That represents the bad situation you are in.
Hold the clock and say:
Today, I am going to turn back
Walk back on a path
that led to no good
go back to the crossroads
Where once I stood.
Slowly rewind to the 9 o'clock position as you go backwards through your memories to a time when things had NOT YET started to go wrong, to a good memory when things were right and you and David FELT GOOD together.
Take some time to remember this clearly; take a deep breath and say:
Further and further the clock will rewind
Until a time of great love I will find.
Wind the clock back to the 6 o'clock position.
As you do that, go further backwards in your memories to a time when you were both still young and things were wide open, dynamic, you were still learning new things about each other every day.
Find a memory there that encapsulates how that was and really let that come to you, live that memory.
Take a deep breath.
Now rewind the clock to the 3 o'clock position.
Back in time, back in time
to the moment I made you mine.
That is going back to the moment when you decided that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with this man. That's a huge power moment. Don't be scared, really allow yourself to remember that.
Now rewind the clock all the way to 12 o'clock and say,
The clock is re-set,
the time is undone,
the new is unkown,
my will will be done.
Put the clock under your bed and start thinking about a whole new future, doing things differently this time, and from a place of love and purpose each and every day, every hour, even.
Should you have a moment of doubt or panic or heartache or whatever, get out the clock and hold it to your heart. It will calm you and keep you on the right track.
Sending you blessings all three,
